We do our best to find you work usually in the form of office work, waitressing, cleaning, labouring, gardening etc. These jobs are phoned in daily and we provide this service FREE of charge to our guests. Practically all our staff are backpackers who live in-house.You can work for accommodation as many of our guests do. work includes reception, cleaning, laundry and maintenance. Fremantle is an excellent spot to top up your bank account before you continue on your trip around Australia.

Tax and Banks
To work in Australia you'll need a Tax File Number (TFN). Hint: applying online is much quicker than going to the tax office. Usually takes 2 weeks to receive by post. All non-residents are taxed at a fixed rate of 29%. The standard hourly rate is $15. You'll need to open a bank account.
