Beaches

Enjoy whole beaches on you own or with a group. Endless stretches of the whitest sand the clearest water all the while breathing the freshest air in the world straight from Antartica. We have lots of beach trips and parties, play volleyball at Cottesloe, followed by the Sunday Session at The CBH. Cool off on the warm sultry nights with a dip in the sea at Coogee and South Beach. Here's our guide to local beaches:

Bathers Beach
Just 5 mins away from the hostel, nice spot to relax if you want to sunbathe, not a great swimming spot though.

South Beach
Take to free CAT bus to South Beach from outside the hostel, or walk it in 20 mins. Great for swimming till midday, sunbathe all day! Further along is Coogee.

North Freo (Leighton Beach)
Fantastic for swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, body-boarding. Beautiful aqua-blue waters. One train stop away from Freo, can get very windy. No trees for wind or sun protection.

Cottesloe Beach
One of the nicest beaches in the area, good swimming, grassy area with trees to escape the sun's rays. Volleyball nets, fishing mole, lots of cafe's and restaurants (Barchetta is very nice). Two pubs, the OBH (Ocean Beach Hotel) and the CBH (Cottesloe Beach Hotel), also known as The Cott, very popular for Sunday Sessions.
